Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 October 2026

These terms apply when you use Daikou (daikou.online), run by an individual based in New Zealand ("we"). By signing in to Daikou or submitting a survey, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. Questions go to support@daikou.online.

1. The service

Daikou is a tool for daigou sellers. It is at an early stage and today offers one feature: a seller creates a survey and shares a link, and anyone with the link can answer. Sellers join by invitation: an existing seller sends you a one-time invite link. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn at any time. It is currently free.

2. Owner accounts

  • You join with an invite link from another seller and sign in with Google or Apple. Each account may keep up to 20 surveys, each with up to 50 versions, and have up to 5 unused invite links at a time; we may change these limits and will update this page. Only invite people you know; we may close accounts that misuse invitations.
  • Keep your Google or Apple account secure; actions taken through your account are treated as yours. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
  • You must be at least 18.

3. What owners must do

You are responsible for the surveys you create and for the personal information your respondents give you through them.

By creating a survey you agree that:

  • Its content is lawful, does not infringe anyone's rights and is not misleading.
  • You do not ask for sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers, bank card or payment details, health information or precise location), or anything beyond what the research needs.
  • You do not remove or change the privacy notice Daikou shows on the page.
  • You use responses only for the research purpose the survey states, and contact respondents who left an email only to follow up on that research.
  • You act promptly on a respondent's request to delete their answers (you can delete a single response from the responses list).
  • You follow the data protection laws that apply to you, such as New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information and China's Personal Information Protection Law.

4. Answering a survey

  • Answering is voluntary and every question may be left empty; name and email are optional.
  • Please do not enter other people's personal information or sensitive personal information.
  • Your answers go to the owner who created the survey. While it is open you can return to the link in the same browser and change them; to have them deleted, ask the owner or us.
  • Each browser holds one response. This is not an anti-fraud measure; please do not submit several times from different browsers to sway the results.

5. Rights in content

  • Owners keep the rights in their survey content. Respondents keep the rights in their answers and allow the survey owner to use them for the research purpose the survey states.
  • You allow us to store, copy and display this content only as needed to provide Daikou, including through the providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
  • Daikou's software, name and logo belong to its operator.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use Daikou to break the law or platform rules; to collect information for fraud, harassment or spam; to help evade customs, tax or import and export rules; to try to access data that is not yours; or to disrupt, overload or probe the security of the service.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Daikou is provided "as is". We work to keep it available and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Daikou, except for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

8. Suspension and ending

You can stop using Daikou at any time and ask us to delete your account with its surveys and responses. We may suspend, close or delete accounts or surveys that break these terms. If we stop offering Daikou, we will give owners 30 days' notice to export their responses.

9. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand have jurisdiction over any dispute, without taking away consumer protections you have under the laws of the country where you live.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the service. Continuing to use Daikou after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are available in Chinese and English; if the two differ, the English version prevails.
